Well this book was addictive!!!!!!

I could just leave there but I related to this book so much as my day job I work with children that have Autism and delayed learning so this book hit me on this level so much.

We meet Molly Baker who prefers animals to humans well 80% humans . She never fitted the norm, she got through school and trained to be a teacher and found herself a job and one day she just walked out she couldn't teach children who didn't want to learn.

Molly grow up with her Aunt on the farm and when she died Molly took it over and become  her farm  school for children that can't deal with the daily routine of school and a different way of learning and life skills.

Then one day Selby drives up to the farm school, he a well know actor not that Molly would know as she shuts herself of from the world. Selby has heard great things about the school and her work and this is his last hope for his son Lucas who seems angry and troubled Molly is at her full quoter of children but she cant say no and take Lucas around the farm to see what he thinks.

Molly is anti social  person but does wonders with the children , over time it comes clear that father and son have got lost since the death of Lucas mother died. Molly takes a shine to Lucas and takes him under her wing.

Molly also has to take on her biggest fear losing the farm her life and safe place from the world for her and the children that come to the school.

Will Molly bring father and son together and how will she save the farm ?

Poppy's Recipe for Life by Heidi Swain

I fell in love with this book from the first page and I'm gutted its taken me this long to write up the review to post.

In thus book we meet Poppy who lives above where she works for Harry in his Green Grocers  shop and who has become like family since she moved away from home. Poppy left home when she was very young and she has been looking after herself for many years and her hidden talent is writing food recipes to go with food sold at the shop to customer who purchase from the shop.

 Poppy dream is about to come true, when she rents a cottage off Kate in Nightingale Square with access to the community  gardens growing her won food and making more beautiful recipes.

Her first day moving in  is great all the neighbours are helpful and friendly  and the closeness within the square which Poppy has been looking for and needs but she has a neighbour who isn't the above at all and Mr Grumpy (Jacob) shouts from his bedroom window asking when they will be done but over time  he seems to come out more  and be part who the community and stop hiding from them and Jacob and Poppy become close friends from working in the gardens and living next door to each other. 

 The out of the blue her a strange mother calls to tell her that she is going to Spain but leaving Ryan her bother behind and also he hasn't been attending college lately and she now has to deal with it. Ryan and Poppy are not close since she moved out and left him behind with their Mother but she decides to move him in with her now as he has the cottage.  Ryan drag his heal and makes her feel like he doesn't want to be there but Poppy is having nothing of it and pulls him into her life if he dies it or not and the community take to Ryan like they have taken to Poppy.

Working on the gardening competition pulls all the community of Nightingale Square together  and we get to catch up with all the lovely characters from this series.

But will Ryan past catch up with him and stop him from having a fresh start?

Will Jacob stop living in the past and more in the future?

Does Poppy finally live her dream life?

This book is part of a fabulous series but can be read alone as you will fall in love with all the Characters and it will leave you wanting more so go grab a copy you wont be disappointed. 

One Summer In Paris By Sarah Parks

In this fabulous read from Sarah Morgan we meet two great characters. in the first chapter we meet Grace, happy married to David who she has a daughter with. Sophie is moving to University  after her summer trip. Grace was a born organizer so when Valentines came she booked the table as always  but this was a Valentines she did expect. David wanted a divorce and  was leaving her for another woman she was in shock after telling him that she booked and planned  a trip for them to go to Paris.

We meet Audrey in the next chapter who was siting her GCSE but her Mother wasn't always the best  and she cant wait to move away, so she picked Paris to start her life over. Audrey found school hard as reading didn't come easy to her but fate as dealt her cards as an advert in Paris working for a book shop that comes with accommodation  how hard would it be.

Fate has more for Audrey on her first day in Paris  she bumps into Grace who has been picked pocketed and got hurt in the process, while out looking for her Grandmothers book shop. Grace  cant thank Audrey enough and offers her dinner at her hotel. Audrey declines but then turns up she feels the whole world is against her but Grace sees something she cant they become friends.

The money from there book shop doesn't make ends meet so Audrey takes one a second job working  in a hair salon but then she loses her first job and a place to live so Grace steps in helps Audrey with her new life.

Grace is also going through some life changes and Audrey decides that she needs a new look fr her life in Paris and thats while Audrey real talents shine when she cuts Graces hair and getting her to buy new clothes , Grace was starting to put the last few weeks behind her  and outs caution to the wind and contacts her first love on facebook and he happens to be in Paris too. Grace starts to feel happy but with her ex husband Daniel arriving in Paris to save they marriage, where does Grace's future lie.

Audrey is a hard cookie  and keeps her walls very high regarding her life will she melt and someone in to love her, but you will have to buy the book to find that part out!

The Mister by E L James

I grabbed this book as I'm am a fifty shades fan. When I started reading this book I was under no spell that it would  up to the same standard of fifty but the story pulled me in from the first few pages.

We meet Maximum a wealthy man trying too hide firm his responsibilities of becoming a Lord and taking over from his recent dead brother.

Maximum has many tastes and seems to have a different woman every night , oh and his grief sex with his sister in law.

One day a woman catches his eye in his apartment cleaning, Alessia  is young lady smuggled into the country escaping her past.

The only job she could get was cleaning to make ends meet but she lives for her time when she cleans at Maximum's apartment, he is never there and after she does her cleaning  she takes pleasure being in her safe place  and playing his piano.

From the moment  they meet  there has been chemistry, Maximum can't take his eyes off her  and when he is around her he feels settled. Alessia is so scared to let him in as her past has an impact on her life. over the days she started to ket her guard down and Maximum deflowers her and shows her inner side which she liked but they are from different worlds.

Alessia past catches up with her  and she is forced to tell him everything and her home becomes unsafe so Maximum moves her  safety and their connection becomes stronger and over time fell in love with each other .

Will Alessia past stay in the past or will their works keep them apart.

The Summer of chasing Dreams by Holly Martin

In this fabulous summer read , we meet Eva who is quite contented  with her quite life in London. Working from home and running her win business, most everyday Eva doesn't even get out of her PJ's and likes life like this sailing along life unnoticed.

Till one day Eva world got turned upside down when her mum died, and now realises the she is at a stand rill in her life but all is about to change when she cleans out her mums loft. Eva comes across a wish list her mum made but never got to fulfil her dreams, so with the savings her mum left her Eva decides to go on a world wide trip living out the dreams.

The next day she is in the the travel agents booking her trip of a lifetime, when a strapping great man walks in holding a baby late for walk and saying he will lose his job for looking after his sisters baby. Eva steps in and tajes the baby saying its her sisters as his boss walks into the office demanding why Thor !!!!!!  was late. Yes the sexy strapping danish man is Thor.

Thor was not happy that he had to sit on an office and watch a complete stranger deal with his sisters screaming baby and when he meet to collect the child he offered his help in anything she needed, which Eva declined his offer.

Eva put the encounter  behind her as she would never see the man again, well thats what she thought until the day she started her world trip standing in the airport. She asked for a female tour guide but Their explained that she broke her leg and  other female guide wouldn't be able to join her straight away. so it was crunch time she either walked away and did the trip on her own or travel with a man that need to get over himself.

She has know choice but to go with Thor and praying he might lighten up on the trip and hoping even more his female replacement would co me soon.

After a while of being in each others company, they both see each other in different eyes and Eva opens up about her mum's wish list and Thor  see that she is just not another wealthy girl wanting it see the world. When they arrive at Paris their boundaries are pushed the total booking was booked for double as the girls would have shared the bed, but everywhere is booked out so they have to make the  best with what their have.
One off the First wishes was signing at the top of the Eiffel Tower but Eva did not have her mothers musical talents, Thor saves the day and gets everyone to join in with her singing.

Their move in to the Netherlands (Holland) and Eva gets to try her first space cake without even knowing Thor is a sweetie and looks after her and this borings them closer but ~Thor has very high walls but goes out of his way to book a friends windmill to show Eva another side of the Netherlands and they spend a night under the stars.
The next out stop ion the journey was Denmark and that they would have time aport as he would drag her to see his parents but Eva told him that she would to meet them as they where so close and happens that her mother did a show in the same village  and found her first love there.
as the trip goes on they grow closer but its just sex no falling in love but Eva has already fallen in love. Their is letting his past define his future happiness and Eva finds it hard to know how he truly feels.
Does Eva full fill her mothers wishes and make her own wishes and desires , go grab a copy and find out.

Warning this book was highly addictive and you will find it hard to put it down!!

The Christmas Invitation by Trisha Ashley

Well another delightful read from the lovely Trisha Ashley.

In this Christmas story we meet Meg who is not feeling her best just getting out of hospital and finds a commission  for a printing as soon as she gets home but how can she refuse a stay in a country house over Christmas.

On her arrival they make her feel like home and is one of them, just when she starts to relax a blast from the past in the form of Lex who thought she would never have to see again !!!!

Meg comes with no Christians spirit untie she meets Henry and Clare who are totally opposite and are full on Christmas people, Meg has no option but to be pulled into this huge family Christmas.

There are some mysteries in the story involving Megs family that bring the book together and you get to understand why Meg lost her Christmas spirit.

A Wedding in December by Sarah Morgan

In this Christmas Fairy tale we meet Rosie who is Marry Dan after a short time  of dating and planning to marry at Christmas in Austin.

Rosie Family are shocked at how quick she is getting married but are making they way to her for the wedding . Rosie mum Masise is hiding a secret her and the girls father have been separated for each other since the summer and haven't told the girls so they are playing happy married couple for Rosies wedding . There seems to some unfinished business and while playing the act realised that all they had to talk and find that they are not lost but can they be saved.

Then we meet Kirsty, Rosie older sister who has watched over her since her very first Asthma attack at an early age and Rosie has been her protector ever since it's the reason she became a doctor. Kirsty also has believe that Rosie is too quick to fall in love but Kirsty not even felt love as she is a 24/7 doctor that never takes breaks for falling in love or letting anyone get close is not an option for her and why she see that Rosie needs protecting and goes out for her way to stop the wedding as she feels its best for her little sister.  Kirsty fly's to Austin with a heavy heart to as she is hiding a secret and needs time to think what best for her future , does she stop the wedding  or find  the one thing that could out her heart back together and start living her life.

The Christmas Wish List by Heidi Swain

Im sorry but I am a big massive fn of Heidi work , especially when we get to visit the village  of Wynbridge.

In this wonderful tale we meet Hattie , who has been told that she is to lose her job. that she has lived and breathed and given her best years too. This is a massive shock  so when her old friend Dolly comes and meets for a catch up after work it all comes out  and Dolly takes her under her wing, but before Hattie has time to process the information. Johnathan her over protective controlling boyfriend  throws her a curve ball and asking her to move to another country and make a new life there with him. Hattie head is all over the place, so Dolly offers her a life line spending one more Christmas before  she flies off too her new life. Johnathan allows this but out of ear shot tells Hattie that he would like her to cut her visit short and come back early before they leave.

On arriving at the train station , Hattie is meet by a very friendly  taxi driver that Dolly arranged to meet her. Beamish who also plays ruby for the Village knows all about her stay !

On arrival Hattie finds her room the same way she left it like nothing had changed, Hattie feels safe and sleeps for the first time in months as she has been running on empty. Woken from her deep sleep to tapping at the window to fin d Beamish putting Christmas lights up on Dolly house. Hde seems to be the man of many trades and he seems to be everywhere. On her first full day she even bumps into Mrs Christmas herself Catherine from Wynbridge Hall and now knows thats she not into the Christmas spirit and it will be her mission and Dolly's to get her to fall in love with Christmas again.
on the same day she bumps into Rose from the village schools and offers her old volunteer position at school running up to Christmas. This day has been very adventful but she had more to come when her and Dolly make their Christmas wish list to get crossed off before Christmas Day, but Dolly has many things up her sleeve for Hattie including for her to make some sort of contact with her a strangerd family before she leaves and that she has not regrets.

The days start rolling away and Hattie and Dolly are trying to cross off as much as possible before Christmas , Dolly has her own reasons for doing this and is hiding a big secret from Hattie but you will have to buy the book to find that out. Over time Beamish becomes a close friend but Hattie doesn't go out of her way to tell him that she is with Johnathan but fate or Johnathan has other plans and pays her a visit asking her to come back with him and spend Christmas with him but she has already made plans and she wants to she them through and she finds out that he is involved in her a stranger relationship with her parents .

Does Hattie stay with Johnathan  and start her new life or stay and make a new life with a man she has known fir five minuets ?????

A year at Castle Court by Holly Hepburn

Meet two friends , who are too opposites but completely work as a whole bring their dream come true The dream being running a successful cake shop.

Cat went to Catherine school, travels the world and makes a name for herself. Meet her best friend Sadie a newly single mum not her choice but that of her cheating husband. Cat  is full of confidence and Sadie can't see her own self worth but together they have found the perfect shop in castle court.. Castle court is built up with many local businesses who welcome the girls apart from Cherie and Greg who hated any competition and Greg will do anything to bring them down.

Feeling blessed that their new made friends are their for them to rebuild to strength.

The following. months  and the last part of the year its more about personal goals and happenings for both the girls . Will Sadie find her Prince Charming with a few tears along the way and does Cat find love in the one place she wasn't looking ?

Well  blogging for Christmas has started early as I have couple from last year.

In this wonderful book we return to Wynthrope Hall and catching up with old friends , Ana and Jamie are still going strong and running the hall to strength it should be. the whole family are back in full colour and feels like I never left.

In this tale its the turn of Hayley , we catch up with Hayley at her engagement party. Where she catches her husband to be with his trousers around his ankles and was the too many times before that she could take one walked out of her own party and gets a lift from a hot stranger to hall to hide from all the town gossip, she feels safe at Wynthrope Hall it never really changes and is her safety net.

Everybody rally around her moving her into the hall and moving her things which means bring the past to light and a lost passion for drawing and is quick to hide this  from her friends as its in the past and she decent like going there.

Wynthrope has its own special powers of healing and attracting people that need healing and Gabe is the newest member to the hall and the team. Gabe hits it off with Hayley and she has closed the doors to love since Gavin was meant to be the one  and he turned out to be a big fat cheat.

While staying at Wythrope hall that now has become her new home and  starts to love herself again  and lets people in bit more they discover her hidden  talent fan drawing , seeing her drawing in print makes her life real.

Hayley and Gabe are in each other pockets and she soon realises that she has feelings for him more than friends but Gabe is running from his past but is her fortune tune will she make the love of her life and is it with Gabe and will he ever  let go of the past.

The client has instructed the her dog is to move in with her brother who happens to be Ethan Black of all people. Lets say that Made first day with her temp owner has not gone well, so when Harriett walks into a war zones minuets for a very tried Dr Black after a long shift at AE. She begins to worry what is best for Madi , Ethan is not a human person outside his work it takes a toll on his communication skills and is even worse with dogs.
He shouts which scares Madi and also stirs up memories of her father , Harriett begins to summer. She is not happy leaving the dog with this man and wants to take her home with her.

Ethan tries and proves that he needs a second chance with looking after the dog, even tho DR black is a hot sexy doctor is not convinced and she moves in to settle Madi but this situation has its ups and downs. a friendships begins to forms and quickly turns to more but both sides are not sure of the others feelings.

Will Harriett life challenges  bring her love and Ethan heart melt little to love again?

Sleigh Rides and Silver Bells at the Christmas Fair by Heidi Swain

Well what can I say Heidi Swain you had me hooked from the first chapter !!!

In this wonderful tale we meet Anne who lost her Mother at the age of 8 years and at Christmas time  and with the years after it just got worse. So Anne built a wall around her working 24/7 and always at Christmas time.

We see Anna applied for a job to be a companion over Christmas , Anna never settles down and never found a place put down roots and call home.So walking into Wynthrope hall and meeting  the people who felt like they were a family is the one thing she is running away from but she had the strangest feeling that she belonged there!!!

Angus her employer was eccentric and so was many of the fellow workers. through out the book we meet the other workers : Hayley, Mick  and how they fall they way to the hall and never left. But the contact was only to the new yearend she was going to stay very low key and avoid anything to do with Christmas. Angus was alas planning the big return of the youngest sons to take over the family business, but Angus does not do anything small style which Anne starts to learn.

The Hall has its own magic and in a few days Anne had opened up to Catherine about her past and avoiding Christmas , Angus wife who could she was scared knew all she needed to do was open her heart and let the magic do the work.

When Jamie the youngest son returns he walks in full blast just like his father  and is not happy he has another face to feed, soon realises that Anne is not there to help for Christmas  and would do anything to run away from it, Anne also learns why Jamie  is finding hard to take over from his father  and on that cold night thir make a pack that Anne will fall in love with Christmas and Jamie will fall in love with the hall again.

But will Anne open up her broken  and get more than a family Christmas or will she get someone to hold her and never let her go?

A Very Vintage Christmas by Tilly Tennant

This is the first book I have read a boom from this author and an amazing read. 

In this first Christmas read of the year, we meet the fabulous Dobie who in the world  of followers of fashion and trends. Dobie is her own person and I'm for every telling my girls if we all wear the same clothes and did the same things that it would be a boring world, so be yourself. so the minuet I meet Dobie I fell in love with her fo5 standing out the crowd and being her own person.

Dobie owns her own vintage clothing shop, Dobie love anything from the past from the clothes in her  shop to the vintage TV she can't bear to parted from.

One day Dobie buys an action job lot and starts to unpack the contents when. she come across a love letter but Dobie can't leave it there she wants to return the letter to one of the owners. she has an address to start with and makes her ways there not knowing what she will find.

When she knocks on the door to a very rude man called Ed.

But Ed has his own story which becomes clearer as Ed opens up to Dobie  and they become partners in finding the owners of the letter. 

Dobie kind heart and personality breaks his walls and they become friends or is it more 

as Bodie has a boyfriend already, who really does not get her one bit or try to understand her world.

So who holds her heart and will she finally return the letter home ?

We return to the town of Hope , This is why I love reading a series of books even after you finish the story the characters you catch up in the net story and me4et new people along the way and you feel part of Hope.

In this book we meet Brady Conners who moved away from Hope to build a life for himself but that is short lived as his baby brother dead and he came back to Hope, but Brady is not the settling type.

Brady thrown himself to working 24/7 and now time for woman  or lets anyone get close, until his eyes across Megan. There is something about her he can't let go but he is not relationship material.

Till one day Brady finds a little feisty dog hiding behind bin outside the workshop covered inn mud from the rain storm, he bonds with her little duck to water and names her Roxy.

Megan isn't looking for anything she not the settling type right now as she has her shop to run and bakery business to manage, but Bradley and Roxy seem to invaded her life and her heart. All her friends are having babies and settling down. Every girls dream is to find they prince and live happily ever after.

The Reading Group By Della Parker

This is the first time reading this lovely author and here is my honest review of this story.

This book is based in a lovely seaside village, where a group of friends start up a reading group. This book is about loyalty  and friendships through good and bad times.

We start if in the book with Emma with the reading group and we meet Anne-Marie who thinks apart from friends that everyone she meets she is the rich kid but she is far from it and has worked for every penny running and working for her cleaning business. her head is always for of big ideas and wants to help people so she starts up a match making service. She hosts her first dinner event but it doesn't go to plan but made her think that she is missing love on her own life but has there been some one there but she just can't see it.

In the next chapter we meet Kate and in this months read its the turn of Lady Chatterley's Lover. Kate love life has gone down Hill since her husband had to demotion at work but they marriage has more problems than that. Katie feels she is missing something, when Bob the builder turns up to build her new kitchen, Kate's world changes which man does the dirty and breaks her heart.

Next its Jojo turn in March, she has been married twice and is still married to her second husband but she has not seen him in four years when he walked out the door to go find himself . Jojo has been living her life but now feels its time to start dating and has a date with a friend Daniel who has asked her a couple of times before  and they hit it of from the  the first minuet if they date but will her past catch up with her like poor Rebecca  this months book.

In the fourth Chapter we meet Serena who is the dark horse of the family , she feels she was always a disappointment to her family. The first sister was born with brains and is following her father footsteps and is a top notch doctor in London, the youngest sister was born with beauty and became an opera singers like her mother, but Serena feels she was born with neither but kept her head down and become a teacher. Thats when she meet Liam and loved down to the sea far away from her family has possible but fate deals a blow and she loses Liam the love of her life, this months books is Jane Eyre but Serena doesn't feel that her life is anything here the book until Mr Rochester comes into her life.

In the last chapter we meet Grace and Mikey and this month is their wedding and the book is The Great Gatsby and thats all I'm going to say as they are many spoilers in this last chapter so you will have to go and great a copy of this fabulous read and sit back and enjoy.

Summers of the Sisterhood forever blue by Ann Brashares

If you ever seen the film the this book is a must and cosy up on the sofa and then watch the films.

The travelling pants are back for a whole summer long !!!!

The four girls have gone they separt ways since leaving school but sill remain close even tho they are miles apart.

Lena now hides within her paintings rather than people, she is trying to forget the past, her first love but he turns up out of the blue  will she stay with the old or let in the new.

Carmen tends to keep herself to her self but one day is taken in by a new friend , who understands the power of the pants. Carmen has a down day and wears the pants and lands her first acting role but is new friend or foe?

Bridget lost her mother at an young age and she never made roots at her home and moves to Turkey for a work dig but falling for the handsome professor is this a replacement for Eric ?

Tibby goes off to college and falls in love , but fates desk her another card will their relationship survive ??

What I really liked about this book how you are right in the middle feeling what the girls feels the ups and downs the closeness of their friendships.

A Gathering of Ghosts by Karen Maitland

This is not my normal genre of reading and I never refuse a book to review so I gave it ago.

This book is based in 1316 when the world was a different place. the setting is in a priory St Marys in Dartmoor. The priory was built over an old well whichlocals worship daily and the priory is run by prioress Johanne.

One evening Sister Fina sees a vision along with her other sisters when attending to the well and on that same evening Sister Fina  comes across a deaf and muted  boy the priory walls. The priest does not want the boy stay and insist the boy will bring a curse to them all. The next day the priest is found dead, but prioress Johanne to keep a lid on the situation as she is having visitors to the priory brother knight Nicholas who there to investigate  the pilfering of priory money and age has her own secrets to hide.

Things begin to happen the minuet the boy turns up, there are many twist and  turns through out this story and great detail has gone into the characters, history events and the  harsh conditions of the prior of time.

so if you are a historian or a supernatural fan then go get a copy and sit back and enjoy.

In The Name of Love by Louise Lee

This is the second book from Louise Lee that I have picked up and not wanted to put down,

We meet Florence Lee a P.I  from Dorset.

Flo is normally catching out cheating husbands and wives  and future partners,but this case was personal.

Flo was six years old when Bambi her Mother appeared to of killed herself but her body was never found and Flo cant let it go .That's where the story begins in Italy tracing her Mothers foot steps, history and finding out the truth.

As well as searching for her Mother against her Fathers wishes, her Father has meet another woman while Flo  been on assignments  and her little bother is too marry his gay lover to Flo dislike as she doesn't trust him as far as she can throw him.

Her investigations take her all over Italy and meeting and investigating characters like Tom, a beautiful Italian strangers that grabs her heart but also has many family connections to help her find information on her Mother, the only catch is his father Rocco is head of the Mob.

Flo has many dramas going on in her life but her main target is finding her \mother 

will she find what she  is looking for or will she  leave disappointed..........

The Wisdom of Sally Red Shoes by Ruth Hogan

I was sent this book to review and when  I started to read this book, I wasn't sure  I would be able to  continue after watching and supporting  and care for my husband lose his fight to brain tumors and was hard to read this book.

Reading this book I have come to realise that I have lost too many people to cancer and including my wonderful Mum too, but with that everybody has a different tale to tell. 

This story is not for the faint hearted  and tells a dark tale of a woman experience her loss, death of a child and hitting  rock bottom and we all eventually live again.

We meet Masha  who always lived her life to the fullest, over the years there was a terrible accident that changed her life and she is now a different person her only inner peace  is when she is at the cemetery or nearly drowning  at the local lido on a daily basis, this is her routine now.

Fate has a different card to be dealt for Masha when she encounters who other people....

In walks Kitty Muriel a fabulous seventy old woman that changes , Masha way of thinking, Kitty has many usual pursuits in her life with her Sally red shoes.
