This is the first book from the Eternity Series that I have read and I look forward to reading more for this great author.
In this tale we meet Shannon O'Toole who is hiding from her past and from your stalker finding her.
Daniel Garrett is an ex- detective who cant get over the loss for his son that was taking from him and his wife and then for his wife to take her own life and his now sole job is to find lost children and try and find a happy ending he never got.
Fate has played its cards and they find themselves at the same wedding, Shannon doesn't normally drink but on this night she did and starts to talk to Daniel, she feed up of looking over her shoulder all the time and wanted to have some fun. From the moment their eyes meet , Daniel felt a draw towards her, they bothy felt so relaxed with each other so much Shannon invited Daniel back for a night cap to her cottage that she doing up to sale on. The chemistry was so strong they landed up having a one night stand, But Daniel was not hanging around he didn't do relationships it was to hard to have anyone in this life to lose again the again was too much . So Daniel does what is best and leaves town for another job.
After a few weeks Shannon finds out that she is pregnant , happy and scared all at the same time as her past always has away of catching up with her, but fate was dealing the cards once again. While walking out in the mountains to clear her head she comes across a lost boy but his mother is not far behind looking for him, they were staying in hear by cabin with her husband, but Shannon felt something was just not right she had the same scared look in her eye as she did , but got a shock when the husband came looking for them and it was Daniel !!!
While Shannon is still trying to process this information the lady walks into the bar she is working at and asks for help she cant not help as she has a kind heart, she finds herself in the cabin in Daniels room alone he is rambling about the lose for his son and wife and his feelings for Shannon she cant take it all in but knows she needs to get his fever down and stays by his side until he is out of the woods. When Daniel comes out the another side of the fever he explains that he is on a protection job . they son start dating as they cant seems to keep their hands over each other , Shannon is in such a happy place and tells Daniel about the baby, he doesn't take this news well.
Will Shannon ever escape her past and have the future with her baby and her Prince Charming?
