This is the first time reading this author and after finishing this book I'm looking forward to the next instalment  of the series.

We meet Kate an art student taking a break, in the artist dream Paris the city of love. Kate is standing in her daily routine in the que for coffee before the start of her day trying to work out how to order in French ,nut in the process her bag gets stolen but does not realise until she has her order, when a sexy American comes to her rescue and pays for her coffee . Once seat ed she finds that the fellow American sits with her, they hit it off straight away she can feel a very strong pull towards him.

Rylan who is a millionaire who is now in hiding in Paris from his past  and his family is also feeling the pull towards Kate from the minuet his eyes meet hers  but is playing it safe as he always does comes in and gets the information he needs to find a with in and not get at attracted, has he does not do love. He will enjoy the time as she is only here for a week. They land up spending the day together that spills into the evening enjoying each other's company, and at the day of the day they find that too people around for a sleepover but make plans to meet up the next day. Rylan needs a change of sleeping arrangements and books a hotel for them while Kate is in Paris , to her better judgement Kate Agrees to this arrangement even thou she does not know much about Rylan. Kate see this has having a good time, as her past with home has not been that good, growing up with her dad and her only relationship  down to a one night stand she has done all the giving  and they did all the taking. Kate finding it hard to  fight the pull towards Rylan as she has never felt this before, he makes feel like she could truly be herself with him sexually. Once Rylan had discovered that Kate had every poor sexual encounters, he felt and wanted to share the passion every step along the way.

The more time Kate spent with him the more danger of falling deeper in love with him, Rylan for the first time was opening up, letting her in and sharing some information but holding some back too. He was falling fast but this was only a holiday romance.

Another wonderful story from Cedar Ridge series. iF you are a fan of Sarah Morgan , Debbie  Macombe or even a Jill Mansell then this author and series is for you.

In this wonderful tale it's Jacob Kincard, the last son turn to find love . But it wouldn't be easy after having a fight with his brother Hud and walking out and not even looking back  for the Army not contact at all , even thou bud had tried thousands of times. The longer Jacob the harder it became to make contact with his twin brother, but Jacob wasn't all bad he came back and had contact with his make sure all was ok. 

Jacob found himself back in Cedar Ridge after life had dealt him a cruel bowl as he lost his best friend on a mission and now it felt he lost too brothers in a lifetime which was pushing him to the limits and why he took leave to get his head straight. So hiding out in a cabin six miles away from his family that he is yet to make contact with, which suited him until he got his head ready to co e face to face with his twin Hud. fate had other ideas when a mystery Lady in a boat moors for the jetty of his cabin , Jacob did need anyone invading his space  but when found her to move her on she was throwing up so he did the decent thing and hold her hair while she throw up.

Sophie was escaping a cheating rat of a husband  that could not keep it in his pants for love or money, so when the divorce came through Sophie took the only thing that he truly really loved his boat and sailed away, as he had taken everything else. The plan was to hit him hard but the joke was on her she gets seasick on the slightest movement of the boat but she had no choice he took everything else. 

They first encounter was not going good, after Jacob throwing up just missing his shoe then, some random woman comes bouncing up jetty to have her end away with Lucas the ex husband to find his wife on the boat for they Monday dates , when not intentionally throws the contents of a draw over her. This did nothing for the chemistry  between them, but she has sworn off men. Lucas was the first man that had shown any interest in her so she married him, but just like her father she could never please him which in turn thing that all men are like Lucas and she deserves not to find true love. 

Jacob feels sorry her and offers her a one night stay with the boat but after that she will have to find a new home. On the scone night Jacob was going to remaind her to move on and if she was ok until landed up drinking and playing truths which land to dangerous ground as they share a outstanding kiss. the kiss rocked both their worlds, so Sophie protect mode kicks in and moves the boat away , so that pull she is feeling towards Jacob will go ,but where every she went she only stay a night and find her way back to the cabin and Jacob , he promises for the duration of his stay that he is hers , but she could not fall for him or let another man hurt her again.

Jacob was playing that card too, especially with his family Hud was not too impressed when he found out that he was back and he had been seeing they mum and paying med bills but could not find time to see his twin brother to let him know he was well  and alive.

The story involves around Jacob co Jong to terms of losing his best friend but not his family's, and Sophie try's to learn that  not all men are like her fathers they both looking for a place called home. This is the second book I have read from this wonderful author and this is a delightful read just like the other book I have read.

Once I started this book I found it very hard to put down, as I fell straight into the story and found it very east to read.

In this book we meet Ella Abbott who has been in love with Gavin Guthrie like forever and they have stay friends. Gavin is struggling with the death of his brother which is taking him on a dangerous path. so when Ella gets a call  for a bar on the out skirts of out to collect her ICE ( In Case of Emergency ) she goes to find out who it is and never imagined that Gavin would have her down as his ICE in a million years. she does what any good friend does and takes his sorry arse home, she stays for a drink and still cant believe that this is happening when they kiss and Gavin tells her that he has always been in love with her, but she could do so much better than him. Fate has other ideas and they embark on a relationship taking one day at a time . They are so in sync with each other and not wanting to spend any time apart from each other.

Are they getting to way head of themselves when they start to plan for the future , with people warning her that it might end badly as Gavin tries to beat those inner demons....

Will they relationship stand strong in choppy waters or will Ella listen to the people or her own heart ?

This is the first book from the Eternity Series that I have read and I look forward to reading more for this great author.

 

In this tale we meet Shannon O'Toole who is hiding from her past and from your stalker finding her.

Daniel Garrett is an ex- detective who cant get over the loss for his son that was taking from him and his wife and then for his wife to take her own life and his now sole job is to find lost children and try and find a happy ending he never got.

 

Fate has played its cards and they find themselves at the same wedding, Shannon doesn't normally drink but on this night she did and starts to talk to Daniel, she feed up of looking over her shoulder all the time and wanted to have some fun. From the moment their eyes meet , Daniel felt a draw towards her, they bothy felt so relaxed with each other so much Shannon invited Daniel back for a night cap  to her cottage that she doing up to sale on. The chemistry was so strong they landed up having a one night stand, But Daniel was not hanging around he didn't do relationships it was to hard to have anyone in this life to lose again the again was too much . So Daniel does what is best and leaves town for another job.

 

After a few weeks Shannon finds out that she is pregnant , happy and scared all at the same time as her past always has away of catching up with her, but fate was dealing the cards once again. When Daniel comes out the another side of the fever he explains that he is on a protection job . they son start dating as they cant seems to keep their hands over each other , Shannon is in such a happy place  and tells Daniel about the baby, he doesn't take this news well.

We get to meet Rachael the workaholic by heart and is top of  her game  the design business but in a spilt second her world comes crushing down in a error of judgement for the next wanna be handbag .

Rachael is ordered to take a break which she is not happy about she can't remember the last time she took some time off.

 

While Rachael is having a meltdown for taking time of work her best friend is battling her own crisis , as her mother in law has become very sick and as to be seen by a London Hospital for tests, so she calls her best friend and asks for help which comes at the right time they need a place to stay while having hospital visits and Rachael needs to escape from London. Rachael is running from Jay , the man she fell in love and the relationship that would have never even worked and now she is living in the same building as him and for two whole weeks she is not at work that's means a number of run ins that she would like to avoid at all costs.

 

It was settled Laurie and children would move up with Bea to attend hospital visits, Aiden her husband would join them in a few days  but his business could not afford him to be away for a minuet.

 

When Rachael jumps of the train in the middle of no where and just about finds the cottage that will be her home for the next two weeks at least, but on her first night she manages to smoke out the kitchen due to never using an arga before!!! Over time Rachael settles into her new way of life  fine tuning her baking skills and attending village meetings with the locals and finds herself revamping the locals clothes for better items and even sets up a fashion show to raise money, but Laurie end can be far from Happy as the doctors have found a tumour in Bea brain, even thou Aiden is there he is working all the time and the stress and pressure  is making her fell out control of her life. On a positive note she is making friends with Lily and Jay who live in Rachael's building. she becomes close to Jay and even goes to one of his gigs to find out that he is still in love Rachael if only she knew.

 

Through out the book each page unfolds , and you read how they deal with what life throws at them but will this make their relationship stronger or tear them apart. go grab and copy and find out you will not be disappointed.

If you are A Twilight saga fan, then this new series is worth a try.

This is my first book by this author and gene before and I'm glad a gave it a try and after a couple of chapters I settled into the story and I glad I stuck to it and now looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

 

In this take we meet Kerris Fellwater who has been running from Whisper Hollow and her path in life, but when her grandparents die ,then she has a visit from the crow  man it's time to pack up and return to Whispers Hallow. Kerris is a spirit,Sherman she helps spirits cross over and fight the evil ones too.

When she returns to her family home that she knew and grew up in with her grandmother and a grandfather that didn't really like or love her . Her mother went missing at an early age and she never got to meet her father, she was told that he run way when he found out that her mother was pregnant and believed that her mother went to find him when she went missing. From the moment  Kerris arrives she has to get her training up to scratch as she was not fully trained before is walked away from the town to escape , but Whispers Hollow is no ordinary town it contains many good and evil forces , so she has a lot of catching up to do !!!!!!

on her travels through town she bumps into the hot Bryan on arrival , happens to be her neighbour and knew her Grandmother and who she was married too, but Bryan was playing part in her life , he is a shake shifter, her proctor and her mate for life. Kerris has her friend by her side too so her too. Kerris power force is coming together hour by hour which stirs up trouble in town that wants to destroy her. Kerris needs to deal with the past to move forward on her life path. While study her grandmothers journal and being guided from form when she finds a box containing an item that proves that her mother was murdered. and that she just didn't disappear, how can this new information save her  from the evil forces,will Bryan always be there to protect her ?

Christmas reads would be the same without settling down with a book from Debbie Macomber and this book you get two for the price of one.

In this first delightful story we meet Mary-Jo who is heavy pregnant on the day before Christmas Eve listening to her brothers discussing how they are going to get David Rhodes to setup to the plate for her. The four of them are a quite close knit have been they were kids when their parents died they have been there each other and this is no different. Mary-Jo sends the boys to bed but has her own plan to get to David or his family before her brothers do, so she sets of early hours of Christmas Eve for Cedar Cove as she remember David saying that he was visiting his family at Christmas, so she jumped in her car and headed out leaving a note for the boys!!! As she needed a head start before her brothers?

Arriving at Cedar Cove she didn’t know where to begin the search she took refused in a local café for refreshments and maybe some information from some locals, but the young man that served her was very friendly but was unable to help her apart from steer her in the direction of the Library and see Grace Harding she knows all and nearly everyone in Cedar Cove. Mary-Jo walks into the Library she is welcomed with another friendly environment and was greeted by Grace welcomed smile and once she explained her situation and that she needs to find David or his family. But once again David spreads his lies as he was never coming back home as his parents are away on a cruise and returning on Christmas Day , but would find out more information for her. While making inquiries she called her best friend Olivia who was David step sister and informed her of Mary-jo, which in turn sent Olivia straight over to meet the young lady. Olivia informs Mary-Jo that herself and her parents have not seen or heard from David in some time and that there’s was no love lost between them. Grace and Olivia convince Mary-Jo to stay the night but she is not used to all this welcome and the will to help her and this was all too much to take on board she faints. The ladies call out the fire fighters  who are medical trained , when she comes round , she has a handsome man called Mack checking her over to muck sure she is ok and from the first eye contact they have a connection . Mary-Jo is ordered with her feet up, but she knows that her brothers will soon be here. To Mary-Jo delight Grace takes her in for the night and is welcomed in with opened arms from her family. But is still shocked by all the kindness she has receives so when ask to go to the carol service she decided to stay behind and rest up and try and get hold of her brothers but they are hot on her tail but have manged to get lost but turn up at the fire station where them meet with Mack who attended to Mary-jo this morning, and that every time they mother had a dizzy spell in late term meant that the baby was on its way. So when Mack receives a silent call he knows that it’s Mary-Jo. While the brothers find the way to her, will her baby arrive safely on Christmas Eve and find her prince charming after all.

In the second part of this delightful book we come across the second story and if you are a fan of Miracle on 34^th street then this story is for you.

We meet a Christmas worker Emily Merkle but the HR department have named her Miracle and she is working on the toy department as temp Christmas staff at Finley’s. The head department is Jake is out to make a point to his father  that he can stand in his own two feet so orders in 500 units of a robot toy  for the Christmas market, but they need a Christmas miracle to sell all the units in time . Also Jakes day is not getting any better as he takes a dislike to Mrs Miracle and feels she is too old for the job on this department, but this does not stop her she uses some charm on Jake to go for a morning coffee as he hasn’t had one yet. So Jake finds himself going for coffee in the nearby coffee house waiting in line to order, while he helps the lady in front with her bill, and from the moment he meet Holly he wanted know more about her. So when she came to visit the store at the weekend with her nephew his wish came true.

Holly year had  not been the been the best  broken up from her long term relationship her brother is sent to war and she is custody of her nephew and dealing with school runs and works which looks like she will be losing her Christmas bonus so money is tight. So on their visit she is hoping he picks lots of items so she can have a selection of gift to pick for her budget but Gabe heads straight to the robot toy which is the most expensive item on the department and fears that she can’t get the item, she bumps into Jake while she is there and the sparks fly. She like Jake but is still nursing a broken heart and is not sure she is ready to open up again to love.  

But Mrs Miracle is spreading her charm again by telling Jake that he should not worry about the robots and Telling Holly that will be Gabe best ever Christmas, but with Jake not celebrate the Christmas time she finds his hard to try and believe, but the more time they spend together he opens up and explains that 20 years ago his mother and sister where killed on Christmas eve so it’s hard to celebrate the time of year for him and his father.  

Can Mrs Miracle save Christmas for everyone, will Holly get her life back on track   and open up her heart to love again with Jake.
