The Story Keeper by Anna Mazzola

This is not my normal gene for reading but from a couple of pages in I was hooked on Audrey Story.

Audrey arrives on Skye in 1857 looking for answers to her Mothers death and securing a job helping an elderly lady collect local folk stories, which co inside with her Mothers journal .
Skye in the 1800's is a harsh and very dark environment, Folk stories full of malicious fairies not (Tinkerbell).

Girls start to go missing another found drowned. The locals start to blame the fairies and events  are happening to displease them.

But Audrey thinks there is more human involvement  in the girls. Audrey finds the more she digs the more she is blocked out at every turn and when she starts to ask question's  to get clarity.

The author brings caution to the 1800's from the Isle of Skye.

This is a wonderful tale, had me , this book will not disappoint there are so many twist and turns you wont to put it down.
