Just like to thank Headline for sending me this book to review , as now I have added a new author to my must read list.
In this wonderful tale we meet Rose, who is just about getting through life after losing her mother , then the love of her life Lucas her late husband who was killed by a drink driver.
From that fateful night Rose has been unable to pick up a pencil and draw to her hearts content or even walk into her art studio. Two years on she is still trying to move on , when a stranger comes into town wanting to buy some of her paintings and hoping he doesn't want to see anything new .....
Robert is a stranger in town and try's and keeps himself to himself as he is hiding a secret, but is here to buy some paintings for his flat. As the days go by he finds the town and people are very hard to resist.
Rose days consist of working at the local pub, hanging around with her best friend Emma and making she is in contact with Lucas mother and father , so she feels that nothing has changed and she can still that Lucas is with her in some way. but after meeting Robert, she has felt a strong attraction and becomes confused, guilty for her feelings for Robert and letting go of Lucas all over again. Rise starts to draw again and Robert is trying to remain friends but fighting the chemistry between them which he didn't plan to happen. As Rose builds up her confidence to be with Robert and move on.
A very dark secret comes to light, Robert's brother is the man that killed Lucas, will this break Rose or will she come out a better person and have a second chance of love.
